The Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation of Howard County, Inc. provides support and funding to the education programs of Howard County’s Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. We offer scholarships to deserving students in the county.

 

Educational Success Grants

Educational Success Grants are awarded to Alpha Achievers for earning passing scores on Advanced Placement exams. Awards for passing scores on Advanced Placement Exams will be given after the student receives their exam scores from AP Services at the conclusion of the academic year. 
The Educational Success Grant applications are available starting in May 2024. 

 

Alpha Foundation Scholarships

This college scholarship program is designed to encourage academic achievement and support financial need among Howard County Public School African American High School students. Since 1975, the AFHC in cooperation with Kappa Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. have awarded over $350,000 in scholarships.

Alpha Phi Alpha Foundation, Inc. is committed to closing the opportunity gap for African American students.
The Alpha Foundation of Howard County, Inc. scholarship applications are available starting in late January 2024.
